Okay the Boruto movie is out in it's full English dub glory. see like i said. unlike funimation viz media takes a lot longer in releasing this stuff. anyway back to how the English dub did. well unlike the Japanese dub and much like I already noticed in the storm 4 game but people tell me to give it a shot but while I know Maile Flannagan tried and don't get me wrong she handled Naruto well for as long as she could over the years but the old gal's raspy voice was more noticeable than it needed to be. viz media really should've just followed the dragon ball formula and hired a male VA or someone who can do a similar maile Flanagan voice to do Naruto as an adult. they were already pushing it with the last since that was sounding a bit off. Guys I'm not denying Maile Flanagan's work or saying that was an awful Naruto I'm just saying you all need to accept she's getting old and her voice is really getting raspy and isn't as healthy as before. we're really gonna need a new Naruto voice in the US since like it or not it's gonna be around for a long while since Viz is already jumping on Boruto band Wagon. that there is my main problem with the English dub of the movie and it was just hard having to listen in the English dub of the day Naruto became hokage OVA. yes that got English dubbed too.
but aside from Maile everyone else held their parts pretty good even Momoshiki sounded like an arrogant antagonist even a newb to the anime world can follow. i don't need to go into the details of the movie itself cause I already did that before. I'm just putting in for the voices and how the movie was handled. there was a bit of awkward dialogue here and there but that's to be expected since not all Japanese references, one liners, or jokes make sense in English. yes i know there's subtitles but remember that subtitle is more less on the assumption you followed the series and some Japanese culture to understand since there's also a subtitle to explain the joke from time to time. trying to make that work in English dialogue especially in the west whether in the US or UK is difficult so they would have had to work around it or make something up that's just as funny. so do try and chill out if you're complaining about that.
onto the OVA where due to her small bit of dialogue in both the game and movie I wasn't able to catch on that Himawari's English VA was the voice actress who is best known for her role as Neptune aka Goddess Purple Heart in Hyperdimension Neptunia XD so she was able to bring a level of adorkableness in Himawari's English dub especially when she went all habanero on Boruto in his room XD
so overall i have to the English dub a 3 out of 5 since Maile's voice just isn't cut out for Naruto anymore especially as a full grown ass man compared Junko who still manages to pull off Naruto easily enough for there not to be that much of a difference for us to notice unless she's changing his tone to suit his different ages.

I agree about the voice for Naruto. I mean they had to give Konohamaru a different voice now that he's no longer a kid or preteen. Same thing that happened in Digimon T.K's voice was the only one who changed, because face it his season one voice couldn't sound so mature, while everyone else retained their original voices only sound more mature when speaking. Question now is who in the dubbing business could they get for a replacement Naruto voice?

in terms of Male voices I'm sure the guy who plays Natsu in Fairy Tail could work something but then again Naruto as an adult isn't as crazy compared to when he was a kid. hmmm but if a woman could pull a masculine voice like Junko Takeuchi then that'd be a new level of readiness from America. for all we know we'd likely have to let Viz open auditions in who could be the next Naruto.
